ent to Clancy's Fish Pub in Fremantle on the 5/1/11. What I love about it -
- firstly, I love the decor - cool retro style
- although the pub has been around for years, it feels clean. No feet sticking to carpet soaked with stale beer.
- service is efficient and friendly
- theres outdoor seating and a big enclosed grassed area for the kids to play in.
- I had the crumbed Wednesday Whiting and it's a relief to eat fish that is fresh, beautifully crumbed and well cooked. Chips were fresh and tasty, and the coleslaw had a light mayonaise that didn't overpower it. My son really liked his steak burger, and the Shanghai Chicken got the thumbs up for taste. Oddly, the chicken was the only dish that wasn't supersized like all the other's, so my husband also had the caramel crepes which he really liked. Most of the meals were around the $16 - $20 mark.
Although this was simple pub food, it's taste and freshness beat hands down the food my family has eaten at restaurants with gold plate awards on their walls - most of which I would never want to visit again.
